Servings: 30 cookies
- 30 Oreo Double Stuf cookies
- 15 pretzel sticks broken in half
- 12 oz orange melting chocolate wafers
- ½ cup black melting chocolate wafers
Stick one pretzel stick half into the cream stuffing of each Oreo cookie, leaving about ½" sticking out. Repeat for all Oreos.
In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt the orange melting wafers according to package instructions.
Place one Oreo cookie on top of a fork, and holding the fork over the bowl of melted candy, drizzle the orange candy over top until the Oreo is completely covered. *Doing it this way ensures that any excess candy melt will go back in the bowl. Tap the fork against the side of the bowl to drain off excess orange chocolate. Then transfer to a large piece of parchment paper to cool. Repeat for all other Oreos.
When the orange chocolate has hardened, melt the black candy melts according to package instructions.
Transfer melted black chocolate to a piping bag, and pipe spooky or silly Jack-o-lantern faces onto each Oreo.
Allow the black chocolate to harden completely before serving.
- Double Stuff is best! The extra filling helps keep the pretzel stem secure.
- No piping bag? Use a zip-top bag with a tiny corner cut off.
- Let the orange coating harden fully before decorating to avoid messy faces.
- Use a toothpick for detail work if you want precise lines or little teeth.
