Have the Valentine candy poster template printed as an architectural/engineering print at 24" x 36" with vertical orientation at a local print shop or office supply store.
Open the tri-fold project board and use good scissors to cut off the two side panels. This will leave you with a 24″ x 36″ piece of poster board.
In a well-ventilated area, starting at the top of the project board and working with about 8-10" sections at a time, spray the board with adhesive and carefully attach the candy sign to the board. Smooth out any wrinkles as you go. Let dry before moving on.
Color the poster design with markers or crayons in your desired colors. *TIP - Color in the wording at the top using a light colored marker like light pink, yellow, or light blue. The lighter colors look much better against the black outline.
Heat your hot glue gun and attach each candy bar to its corresponding location on the poster, covering the words it replaces.
Let the glue cool completely, then present to your Valentine and enjoy their reaction!
- For the project board - Be sure that you use a 36" x 48" trifold cardboard project board. Available at office supply stores, Target, or Walmart. I got mine from Walmart for about $5.00.
- For the Spree - These are the hardest candies to find. Check local gas stations first, and if you can't find them, you can purchase the rolls of Sprees on Amazon.
- For the candy bars - The PDF template is sized perfectly to fit the regular sizes of candy bars, NOT the King size or mini size.
