Tips for Printing Your Thanksgiving Gift Tags
- Print on cardstock – White cardstock gives your tags a more professional, high-quality look and feel. I like to use 80 lb cardstock, which you can find at any office supply store or online, because it goes through my home printer without paper jams.
- Use your home printer’s highest quality setting – This ensures the colors and text come out crisp and vibrant. If you don’t have a color printer at home, no worries! You can easily upload the file to your local print shop or office supply store and have them print it for you.
- Cut carefully for clean edges – I like to use a paper trimmer for perfectly straight cuts, but sharp scissors work great too! If you want rounded corners, a corner rounder punch is a fun touch that makes the tags look extra polished.
- Use a hole punch and ribbon – Punch a hole in the top of each tag and tie them on with twine, ribbon, or raffia. Jute twine gives a rustic farmhouse vibe, while satin ribbon looks more elegant. Choose whatever matches your gift aesthetic!

*For these easy Thanksgiving gifts, I used cone-shaped clear cellophane bags and filled them with my favorite store-bought caramel and cheddar popcorn. Then I tied the gift tags on with pretty ribbon and added a few faux leaves.
