These mac and cheese Valentines are made with printable Valentine cards and the single-serve, microwavable cups of macaroni and cheese. If you need easy classroom Valentines for kids to pass out at school, you’ll love this fun Valentine idea!

So, this is technically a non-candy valentine, so it’s perfect for school… but even though there’s no sugary sweets, kids will still love this easy idea! After all, I’ve never met a single child that doesn’t love mac and cheese!
In fact, my youngest daughter pretty much survived on macaroni and cheese cups last summer for lunches, because she could easily make them herself in the microwave. So she’s super excited to give these classroom Valentines out to friends in her class!
If your kiddos love the cheesy pasta too, then they’ll love these cute Valentine ideas for kids!

Supplies Needed
- white card stock – I always recommend printing gift tags on card stock because they’ll be less likely to tear or wrinkle. I prefer to use the 65 lb card stock, because it goes through my home printer without getting jammed.
- scissors – I usually prefer to use a paper trimmer for projects like this one, but since the gift tags are round to fit the top of the mac and cheese cups, you’ll need a good pair of scissors to cut out the Valentines instead.
- tape – To attach the tags to the top of the cups.

What mac and cheese cups to use for Valentines?
The printable Valentines are sized to fit the tops of most single-serve macaroni and cheese cups. These cups are the “just add water” type, and they typically come in a 4 or 8 pack at the grocery store, or you may be able to find them in bulk at stores like Costco or Sam’s Club.

The macaroni and cheese Valentines should fit all 3 of these:
- Kraft Macaroni and Cheese cups
- Annie’s Microwavable Mac and Cheese cups
- Velveeta Shells and Cheese cups

How to Make Mac and Cheese Valentines with the Printable
- Print the valentine PDF out on white card stock. *TIP – Be sure that your printer is set to “Actual Size” or “Default” so that the tags print in the correct size.
- Cut the tags out around the circle border. You may need to do this part so that the round tags fit nicely on the tops of the cups – unless your child is really great with scissors!
- Fill in the “From” space with your child’s name.
- Place two pieces of folded over tape on the back of each tag, and attach to the top of macaroni and cheese cups.
And that’s it! These DIY classroom Valentines are SO easy to make, and you can even work on cutting out the circles while you’re watching your favorite TV show (or while you’re sitting at soccer practice).

Printable Apple Valentines for Apple Juice and Applesauce – I LOVE these cute “Apple of My Eye” valentines that I made last year… the actual valentine tag is a leaf shape, and you can attach it to the apple-shaped bottles of juice or applesauce pouches! Great for younger kids!
