Our Spiced Nuts Recipe for Gifting
Whether you need a good “bar snack” for when holiday guests drop by, or you want to gift some holiday tins of edible goodies this year, this spiced nuts recipe will be a new favorite! Unlike most recipes, ours is a sweet and salty combo, but each of the two varieties are made separately… kind of like those popcorn mixes that have caramel corn and cheddar popcorn.
My husband made these yummy nuts on our outdoor Blackstone griddle (it’s SO easy to do on a griddle), but you can also make the same recipe in the oven or on a stovetop skillet.

Tips for Printing and Using the Nuts Gift Tags
- Print on white card stock – This will give your tags the nicest finished look for your Christmas gifts. If you don’t have white card stock, then you can print the PDF on regular white printer paper and glue the tag to a piece of thicker colored paper to make it sturdier.
- Cut the tags with a paper trimmer – I always use a paper trimmer to cut my Christmas gift tags so that the lines are nice and straight. If you don’t have a trimmer, use scissors and cut around the border of the tags.
- Tie the tags with festive ribbon – Use holiday colored ribbon for nicely wrapped gift jars. I used a rattan red “ribbon” for one of my jars, and metallic green curling ribbon for the other jar.
- Use cellophane bags for less expensive gifts – To save some money, package your homemade mixed nuts in cellophane bags instead of the mason jars.
