Looking for easy neighbor gift ideas that don’t involve baking homemade treats or spending a ton of money? This wrapping paper neighbor gift idea is cute and practical, and with a printable “Wrap up the holidays” gift tag, it’s super easy to put together!
‘Tis the season of giving, and as busy moms, we all understand the juggling act of preparing for the holidays. Amid the hustle and bustle, finding simple yet thoughtful neighbor gifts can be a challenge.
But fear not! This year, we have the perfect solution: gift wrap neighbor gifts that are not only inexpensive but also a breeze to put together. Your neighbors will love these useful gifts, especially if they realize at 11:00pm on Christmas Eve night that they ran out of paper in the middle of gift wrapping!
This wrapping paper neighbor gift idea isn’t just for neighbors though… anyone that wraps gifts during the Christmas season would love this practical gift! You can use the “Wrap Up the Holidays” gift tags for teachers, friends, co-workers, front office workers, and bus drivers too!
So, let’s dive into this easy and delightful Christmas gift idea and “wrap up” the holidays in style! *And be sure to check out some of my other gift ideas, like these “Less Dishes” paper plate gifts!
Why I LOVE This Neighbor Gift Idea:
- This neighbor gift is consumable and practical. I love giving gifts that are consumable, meaning they can actually be used up. Most of us don’t have room for another knick-knack or decor item, and you may not know your neighbors’ styles and tastes, so a simple gift like this is perfect! Who doesn’t need an extra roll of tape or wrapping paper around the holidays?!
- Wrapping paper neighbor gifts are inexpensive. You can find gift wrap on sale at most stores during the month of December. Pick up a roll or two for about $2 – $3 each, add a roll of tape for about $1, and you’ve got a cute and thoughtful gift that’s under $10!
- Cute printable gift tags make it easy to put together. Just print the gift tag on white card stock, and tie it around a roll of gift wrap… doesn’t get much easier than that!
How to Make Your Own Wrapping Paper Neighbor Gifts
After you brave the holiday traffic to pick out the perfect gift wrap, these “Wrap up the holidays” gift wrapping gifts are a cinch to put together. Here’s how to make your own gift wrapping bundles to gift:
Decide on a Theme for Your Wrapping Paper Gifts
As you’re picking out the wrapping paper and other gift wrap items for your neighbor gifts, think about how the wrapping supplies will look packaged together. I suggest that you choose a theme or color for the overall gift so that the gift wrapping items don’t clash with each other.
For instance, for the green printable gift tag, I chose to go with a simple and elegant Christmas tree wrapping paper pattern, paired with green bows and gift tags.
And for the printable gift tag with more blue colors, I picked a monotone red candy cane gift wrap and accented it with blue gift tags to match the printable tag:
Gather your “Wrap up the Holidays” Gift Supplies
Next, it’s time to go shopping for your wrapping paper gift items. The big box stores like Walmart and Target should have a good selection of gift wrap items for you to choose from. Or, you can also try discount stores like Dollar Tree or Five Below for good deals. I have also had luck finding nicer, premium gift wrapping supplies at stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls.
Here are some ideas for items to include in your gift wrap neighbor gifts:
- rolls of wrapping paper
- a few small gift bags
- tissue paper
- gift bows
- gift tags
- Scotch tape
- curling ribbon
Print the Wrapping Paper Gift Tags for Neighbors
Download our exclusive “Something to help wrap up the holiday season!” printable gift tag available in my shop HERE. Print the gift tag out on white card stock or a thicker paper for durability. Then, cut along the edges of the tag like this:
Assemble the Easy Neighbor Gifts
Now that you have your materials ready, it’s time to assemble these delightful gift wrap neighbor gifts.
Punch a hole in the top corner of the gift tag and loop it through the wrapping paper roll using a piece of ribbon or twine. Since I was including other items like tape rolls and gift tags in my neighbor gifts, I actually tied those smaller items to the wrapping paper rolls first, and then tied the printable gift tags on top so that they were visible.
And then your “Wrap Up the Holidays” gifts are ready to be delivered to your neighbors or your child’s teachers! Aren’t they SO cute!?
