These easy Chicken Parmesan Bites take just 3 ingredients, so they’re perfect for easy and elegant appetizers or even quick prep kids’ dinners!
Chicken parmesan is one of my kids’ favorite foods, which makes sense… Combine chicken tenders and pizza (two classic kid favorites) and you get Chicken Parmesan. What’s not to love?
And these Chicken Parmesan Bites are so easy to make that you’ll love them, too! And this is coming from a Momma that can’t cook…
Literally…
My oldest daughter tells people that she has to go write her will before she eats my cooking, and my youngest daughter tells everyone that I can’t even make toast.
And my husband would agree with them… especially after an unfortunate incident years ago when I had the genius idea to surprise him with a fancy sea scallops dinner that ended in a serious bout of food poisoning.
So now I pretty much stick to cereal and salad. Because I can mix pre-cut veggies together in a bowl like nobody’s business! 🙂
But, thanks to these easy Chicken Parmesan Bites that are made with pre-cooked chicken, jarred marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese, I can add another recipe to my repertoire.
If your kitchen skills are seriously lacking, or if you’re just too busy to prepare fully homemade meals, then you will love this easy Chicken Parmesan recipe, too!

Best Chicken Nuggets to Use for Parmesan Chicken
You should have a few different options for popcorn chicken and other bite-sized chicken in your grocery store freezer section. If you’re going to use this recipe as party appetizers, then I suggest going with the popcorn chicken or at least “chicken chunks” because they will look more elegant than the flat chicken nuggets that get doled out on kids’ lunch trays.
However, if you’re going to serve these to your kids for dinner, it’s probably best to stick with their favorite frozen chicken.
The Taste recently did a kid taste test to determine the best frozen chicken nugget, and named Perdue Simply Organics Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks as the winner. This Perdue option would also work for fancy appetizers, but the “chunks” won’t give you the elegant “ball” look.
Here are some other frozen chicken options for this easy Chicken Parmesan Bites recipe:
- Tyson Any-tizers Popcorn Chicken
- Perdue Breaded Popcorn Chicken
- Great Value Popcorn Chicken (or other store brand – this is what I used for this Parmesan Chicken recipe)
- Bell and Evans Breaded Chicken Nuggets
- Earth’s Best Frozen Popcorn Chicken
