These printable Ring Pop Valentines are the perfect classroom Valentine cards for kids! With fun puns like “Put a Ring on It” and “You’re a Gem,” these DIY Valentine’s cards are easy to make and way more exciting than store-bought cards. Plus, Ring Pops from Dollar Tree make this a budget-friendly Valentine’s Day classroom gift!

There’s three main rules to kids’ classroom Valentines: they need to be individually packaged, fun, and ideally involve candy. And these adorable printable Ring Pop Valentines check all the boxes!
They’re punny (because who doesn’t love a Valentines pun?), they’re easy to assemble, and best of all, they come with a Ring Pop, which basically makes your kid a classroom hero.
Why You’ll Love These Ring Pop Valentine Cards
- Budget-Friendly – Ring Pops come in 4-packs at Dollar Tree for just $1.25! You can make Valentines for an entire classroom without emptying your wallet.
- Super Easy to Make – No complicated cutting or elaborate assembly required. If you can print, cut, and hole-punch, you can make these!
- Works for Any Age – From preschoolers to elementary schoolers, everyone loves Ring Pops! These Valentines work great for classroom exchanges, sports teams, or even daycare friends.
- Quick Prep Time – You can knock out a whole class set in under an hour while watching your favorite show. That’s my kind of Valentine’s craft!

Supplies Needed
Here’s everything you’ll need to create your Ring Pop Valentines:
- Printable Ring Pop Valentines cards – Grab them for free at the end of this post!
- White card stock – I highly recommend card stock instead of regular printer paper. It’s sturdier and won’t tear when kids are threading the ribbon or punching holes. The durability is worth the few extra cents per sheet!
- Ring Pops – You can find these in 4-packs at Dollar Tree for $1.25, or grab bigger bags at Walmart, Target, or Amazon if you need to make a ton of them.
- Curling ribbon – This is optional, but it adds a sweet finishing touch! You can use any color that coordinates with Valentine’s Day (red, pink, purple, white).
- Scissors or paper trimmer – A paper trimmer makes cutting out the cards super fast and gives you nice straight edges, but scissors work perfectly fine too!
- Hole punch – A standard hole punch works great for making holes to thread the ribbon or attach the Ring Pop.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Ready to make the cutest Valentine cards on the block? Here’s how:

Step 1: Print the Ring Pop Valentine Cards – Print the Ring Pop Valentine templates on white card stock. I usually print at the highest quality setting to make sure the colors and text look crisp and clear.
Tip: Do a test print on regular paper first to make sure everything looks good before you use your nice card stock.

Step 2: Cut Out the Valentine Cards – Use scissors or a paper trimmer to carefully cut out each Valentine card along the border lines.
Step 3: Punch Holes for the Ring Pops – Using your hole punch, make a hole in the top corner on each Valentine card. Then punch a hole through the top corner of each Ring Pop package.

Step 4: Fill in the “From” Line – Have your kids write their names on the “From” line at the bottom. Be sure to do this before attaching the cards to the candy, because it’s difficult to write on them with the Ring Pops already attached.
Step 5: Attach the Ring Pops – Cut pieces of curling ribbon about 8 inches long. Thread a piece of the ribbon through the valentine card and the Ring Pop package and tie in a knot to secure. For an extra-cute touch, use the edge of scissors to curl the pieces of curling ribbon.
