If you’ve got young kids, you’re probably used to them asking you “how many days til Christmas” about 32,000 times during the month of December… which is why I created these cute printable Christmas countdown coloring pages!
Print these cute countdown to Christmas printables, then starting on the 1st of December, have your kids color in one of the Christmas ornaments or presents on each day of the month.
An easy Christmas activity for kids to do all month long, and save a bit of your sanity during the holidays because kids can just look at their countdowns to see how many days til Christmas!
How to Use the Printable Christmas Countdown Coloring Pages
These cute printable Christmas activities are so easy to use… and did I mention that they’re FREE!
Step 1: Print the Christmas countdown coloring sheet of your choice on card stock or heavier weight printer paper.
Since your countdown to Christmas coloring pages will be used all month long, you want them to last. If you print them on a 60 lb. card stock or heavier weight printer paper (like 32 lb.), then they’ll be more durable.
Trust me, the last thing you want is for your printable Christmas countdown to rip on December 23rd as your kids are trying to take it off the fridge, and then all of their hard work is destroyed. Do yourself a favor and print it on card stock!
You can print all 4 different countdown to Christmas printable coloring pages at the end of this post!
Step 2: Hang it somewhere your kids can reach it.
My kids keep their countdown coloring sheets right next to the chocolate advent calendars that Mimi and Grandpa send them every year… that way they can enjoy a piece of chocolate while they’re coloring in their Christmas countdown sheets.
You may want to keep your kids’ countdowns on a clipboard because then they’ll be more protected and your kids can easily color them in. You can also hang the cute Christmas coloring sheets:
- on the fridge
- on a clipboard in your family command center
- in their bedrooms – My daughter likes to use colorful washi tape to hang up pictures on her walls, and the washi doesn’t damage the paint!
Just choose a spot where your kids won’t forget about them!
Step 3: Color in one shape each day during the month of December.
Follow the arrow that says “Start Here” and color the ornament or gift box labeled “25” on the 1st day of December. Or if you rather, you can start by coloring the “1” for December 1st… there are no rules!
And as you can see, the Christmas designs for each day are detailed so this easy Christmas activity will keep your kids busy for a little while. And the intricate designs make these the perfect coloring printables for your older kids, too!
And since these cute Christmas coloring pages are FREE, you can even print all of the designs and let your kids do some extra coloring… Maybe give Mom a little extra time to get her holiday stuff done!
