This Reasons Why I Love You jar is a great gift for your special someone, and it’s so easy to make with the free printable love notes template and a few basic supplies. Learn how to make the best I love you jar and get ideas for what to write!
What You Need for a Reasons I Love You Jar
- glass jar – A mason jar or decorative jar that includes a lid. I prefer a clear glass jar so that you can see the mini love notes inside.
- mini rubber bands (optional) – I used mini hair rubber bands to roll my notes into mini scrolls. You can also simply fold the strips of paper instead.
- printer and paper – The free printable template includes mini hearts on the love notes, so you may want to print the file in color.
- scissors or paper trimmer – I prefer using a paper trimmer, because it makes cutting out the reasons why I love you much faster. But you can definitely use scissors instead.

- a big list of reasons why I love you – I’ve got 100 reasons why I love you that you can use for your jar! Or use the blank strips of paper to write your own list of reasons.
How to Make a Reasons Why I Love You Jar
This romantic gift is so easy to make with the free printable templates! I’ve done all the hard work for you, so you just have to print the notes, cut them out into strips, and roll up.
- Write out a list of reasons why you love your husband or boyfriend. You can use the free printable blank love notes that I have at the end of this post. Or, write your own list of reasons why I love you!
- Cut out the individual strips of paper.
- Roll up each note like a scroll, and secure it with a mini rubber band.
- Add the notes to a jar.
- Tie on the printable tag that says “Reasons Why I Love You” or “I love you because”. Use black or pink ribbon or twine to make it festive.
What to Write in an I Love You Jar
