These printable Santa tags are perfect for labeling your child’s gifts from Santa this year! Just choose the From Santa gift tags that you like best, print on card stock, and attach to gifts from the jolly ol’ guy. Easy peasy!
I love learning about other families’ Christmas traditions – some families go all out when it comes to presents. Others decorate their houses and lawns so brightly that you can see them from space. And I don’t think anyone has the exact same tradition for Santa gifts!
There are so many ways to do gifts from Santa! Some kids get their Santa gifts on Christmas Eve. A friend of mine never wraps gifts from Santa – they’re just sitting out for their kids when they come downstairs on Christmas morning.
I absolutely love thinking of creative ways to give our kids their Santa gifts! While many of our family Christmas traditions stay the same year after year, Santa gift presentations tend to be a little different each time.
One year, I decided to have our girls go on a Christmas treasure hunt to find their Santa gifts, and that was super fun! This year, I’ve decided to add a festive flair to their presents from Santa with these free printable Santa gift tags! They’re a great way to give kids a clue as to which presents are from the jolly elf himself. Just download, print, and use!

Ideas for Using the Printable Santa Tags
Here are several fun ways you can use these free printable Santa gift tags:
- For larger Santa gifts that are difficult to wrap (dollhouses, bikes, etc.), tie a big ribbon and a tag around the gift.
- Use the gift tags to label all of your child’s gifts from Santa.
- Use the Santa gift tags for a Secret Santa gift exchange.
- If you work at a daycare, attach printable Santa tags to small gifts you send home with your kids for the holidays.
- Add Santa Christmas tags to gifts you give to your neighbors this year.
Tips for Printing the Tags
Although printing these Santa tags is easy peasy, here are a few tips I’ve learned along the way:
- Print on white card stock. Card stock looks much more professional, and it’s also less likely to tear during the present-opening frenzy! If you want a more rustic look, you could also print the Santa gift tags on Kraft paper.
- Use a good quality printer. Not everyone has a top-of-the-line printer at home, and that’s okay! You can always send the file to a local print shop like FedEx Kinkos. *By the way, this printer is the BEST investment I’ve ever made… the ink NEVER dries out!
- Don’t forget the ribbon! A festive holiday ribbon adds a special touch to these Santa gift tags. If you use Kraft paper, you could also use raffia-style ribbon for a natural, homey touch.
- Use a paper trimmer. Unless you’re a master at cutting straight lines with scissors, I suggest using a paper trimmer to cut out your printable Santa tags. This is the one I use for all of my home projects, and I LOVE it!
- Invest in a single-hole punch. Although you can technically stick your gift tags into a 3-hole punch, I suggest purchasing a single-hole punch. It’s so useful for all kinds of crafts and very inexpensive!
